CANON   of solar eclipses  from -2000 to 3000

       The CANON contains all the solar eclipses (total, annular or partial ) from -2000 to 3000.
        For each eclipse one gives the precise date of the maximum together with the main characterisitics.
        The data is given in displayable and downloadable files of moderate size.
 
 

       Each  file is organized by year  as follows :

JD       :    Date of greatest eclipse in julian day TDB
Date     :    Same in dd/mm/yyyy format and in UT (Gregorian calendar since 15/10/1582)
Hour     :    Time of the maximum in hh:mm  in UT
Type     :    Total, annular or partial
 
    For central eclipses only

Lat      :    Latitude of the earth location at greatest eclipse
Long     :    Longitude of the earth location at greatest eclipse( > east)
Duration :    Maximum duration in decimal mn
Shadow   :    Shadow width at greatest eclipse in km
Speed    :    Velocity of the shadow on the earth in km/s
h_sun    :    Altitude of the sun in degress
