What limit
magnetic Reynolds number may be experimentally achieved ?
Jacques
Léorat, Observatoire de Paris-Meudon
The two successfull fluid dynamo experiments of Riga and Karlsruhe in
november 1999
had magnetic Reynolds numbers just above criticality, around 50.
Sodium
flow experiments now use containers without internal walls , with
expected Rm closer to 100.
What is the limit Rm reachable in a MHD wind tunnel ?
