GSM is truly operational since the end of the year 1997.
Since, GSM has accomplished several campaigns of measurement of the turbulent parameters relevant for optical astronomy, those all over the world.
The following list gives, in the chronological order, the date and the location of each mission.

From 08.28.1997 to 09.18.1997 |
: ESO Observatory of La Silla (Chile) |
From 04.12.1998 to 04.22.1998 |
: Oukaimden in the Atlas mountains (Morocco) |
From 07.16.1998 to 07.24.1998 |

The results of the processing of the data collected during these missions are presented in numerous articles and reports.
An exhaustive list of these references is given in the bibliography section. |
Moreover, some data are freely available from this page.
There are the seeing (@ 0.5 microns) given in arcseconds,
the spatial coherence outer scale given in meters and the isoplanatic angle (@ 0.5 microns) given in arcseconds. |
The temporal evolution of the data can be checked first from
an applet tool.
This applet requires a Java plugging to run inside your browser.
This tool is still experimental. |
The following table provides for each mission a downloadable archive file filling with these data.
The archive file contains several data files, one per observing night.
The data file name has a specific format : GSM@missiom-mmddyy.gsm which informs of the mission location and of the observing night date.
Each data file is a text file. It contains 4 columns.
The first, second, third and fourth one correspond to the universal time (UT, decimal units), the seeing, the outer scale and the isoplanatic angles, respectively.
24 hours are added to the UT after midnight.

To get access to this table, you have to fill the following form with your name, the name of your company and your e-mail.
These informations will be used only for statistics purpose and their use is restricted to GSM.
